- When? Projects have flexible dates and run all year round
- Where? Niteroi, Brazil.

Groups will gain a large amount of valuable work experience alongside some extremely skilled and talented staff on an Occupational Therapy placement in the city of Niteroi. Placements are available for groups training in Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy and your skills will be put to good use working with both adults and children with a wide variety of needs.
On arrival your group will be introduced to your supervisor, whose role it is to ensure that you have the opportunity to learn as much as possible during your placement. Specific work might include respiratory physiotherapy, postural re-education, acupuncture and pre-natal services. Psychomotricity activities, reading techniques and vocabulary stimulations are some of the treatments offered to patients for Speech Therapy. It is recommended that all group members have a basic level of Portuguese, or are able to speak Spanish confidently. This will enable greater interaction and communication with both the staff and the patients
