Volunteer on Care projects overseas in Morocco

Morocco is well known as a cheap holiday destination, with bustling streets, markets and a year round agreeable climate. But behind façade of the tourist hotels and away from the regular tourist haunts are poor families struggling to make ends meet. Your contribution as a group will make a visible difference to the quality of lives of children in Rabat, many of whom have disabilities.

Overseas volunteer work with Children in Morocco

Your group will work one or two of the local schools and children’s centres. Here you will spend time in small groups or one-to-one helping the children with their lessons and playing games with them. You could be involved in artwork, or drama projects. The children love music so skills in this field are hugely valuable. The children will love to hear about your culture and teaching them simple songs and playing games from your home country will really entertain these children.

In Rabat, Morocco, you will live in an apartment or hostel. You will live within the local community, and so experience the side to Morocco that tourists don’t see. As a volunteer the children, their families and the staff at the centers will welcome you, and ensure you have a fantastic time in their country. In your spare time you will have the chance to take part in workshops and see local sites as well as go on a couple of trips to other areas including Fez.

This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.
